Mount Athur.

In the weekend my family and I went to Mount Arthur. It seemed like a very long walk.When we finally got to Mount Arthur hut we chose our beds and had a few games of cards. Then we went on a walk but it was so windy that I got blown over onto my hands and knees twice!!On Sunday it was not so windy so we went a lot  further my dad found alpine grasshopper and I got to hold it.Even though we got quite far we did not reach the summit. When we were going home we stopped by at our cousins place and we gave my cousin George a makeover.

Tennis

Over the past few weeks Room 6 have been playing tennis. It's very fun, Anik and I usually miss the ball. We have learnt to serve and bounce the ball over the net. Serving is when you throw the ball up in the air and then hit it over the net.  I find serving VERY hard and I need to work on hitting the ball straight. Tennis is so hard, but it is also one of the funnest things in the world.






   

Technology expo

On Wednesday we had a technology expo.Our syndicate did kites.We each had buddy, one of us went to some other class and the other stayed behind.Then you had to swap,I went first then I swapped with my buddy of Celeste. Here are some pictures of the different things.

Kites!!

At school we have been making and designing kites with our buddy. My buddy is Celeste,our kite is shaped like a diamond. We had a booklet which we wrote information about our kite in ,we also put pictures in the booklet. The wind kept ripping our kite when test flying so we put lots of tape on it. The whole syndicate had a competition to see whose kite would stay in the air the longest. A pair of boys from room 5 won.We are going to have a technology kite expo.  Here is a picture of my buddy and I holding our kite.

Wharariki beach.

In the holidays I went to  Wharariki beach at Golden Bay. When we  arrived  there were two peacocks greeted us. I hand fed one of them.It was a very long walk, all the trees looked windswept. When we got there we ran  towards a cave. Then suddenly we stopped! 'Shh' whispered my Emily and there right in front of us was one of cutest seal pup ever.

Garden

In the weekend I went to my grandparents house. We met my cousins there. We  played a game that my grandma made up. Then  my cousin Emily and I  started to make a garden. We pulled up the weeds and put them on a piece of wood. After Emily went home I planted some bulbs with my grandma. Then my family and I went home in dad's car.

Sleepover!!!!!

At the weekend I went to my  cousins place for a sleepover.It was very fun. We did makeovers on each other.We also played on the trampoline.After that we watched a movie.On Sunday  we watched a another movie.It was called the Nut job. Then we played with some Lego and after that I went home.

HAMNA SPRINGS !!!!!!

At the weekend my family and I went to Hamna springs.On Saturday we went to the hot pools.I went in the hottest pool for kids.It was lots of fun. On Sunday we went on a walk up a mountain.After that we collected horse chestnuts. Then we had a long drive home.

My birthday!!!!!!

It was my birthday on the fourth of May.At my party we went to to the Animal Farm.My favorite animals were the goats. Then we had cake and fairy bread. After that we went back to my house.Then the parents came to take the kids home.

The Suter.

A few weeks ago the whole class went to the Suter. There was a exhibition on African masks. Ester said to get into groups. We  drew  pictures of them. Also we wrote what we saw, thought and wondered. It was quite a long walk back to class.    

The Farm!

On Saturday I went to my cousins place in Richmond. It was a very long drive. The cousins place is called the farm because they have chickens and sheep.We cleaned out the chickens run. We stayed for dinner.It was very late when we went home.    

CHINESE NEW YEAR PLAY!!!!

• At school Choi read us legend about the Chinese New Year. Some of the characters were the rat,ox,tiger,rabbit,snake,dragon,horse,ram,monkey,dog and pig.We deiced to make masks.

Trip to Port Underwood!!

In the holidays my family and I went to Port Underwood. We stayed in a tent and ate fish. We made an aquarium out of two mussel bouys. One was for the fish and one was for the sea anemones,crabs and  one kina.We let them go on the last day.
